It's the holiday weekend, and that can mean things look a little different on late-night TV. But here's what Real Time with Bill Maher fans can expect to see tonight on HBO.

Maher is currently rolling through season 22 with no end in sight. His new deal with HBO means that the opinionated late-night host will continue his show for at least the next couple of years. So expect to hear a lot more from Bill Maher.

And Friday night will be no different. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.

It was another hectic week of headlines, so viewers should anticipate Maher to have a lot to say. President Joe Biden's fundraiser with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, the Bibles on sale from Donald Trump, and Trump's bonds should all be on the table.

Who's on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight, March 29?

First up, Bill Maher will sit down for a conversation with Jonathan Haidt. The social psychologist specializes in morality and moral emotions. His latest book is The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness. Given Maher's thoughts on today's youth, social media, and technology, the two should see eye-to-eye.

Political commentator, journalist, and author Fareed Zakaria will be on tonight's panel. The host of Fareed Zakaria GPS should be able to give a big picture view of where things stand in the election, Israel, and any other topic Maher wants to cover.

Finally, former U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper joins the panel. Esper served under President Donald Trump for a little over a year before getting fired. For his part, Esper called Trump's election lies an "embarrassment." He should give Maher the kind of insight on Trump most guests can on speculate on.
