The day is finally here. Donald Trump's inauguration will start his second term in the White House and begin a new era for the country. It also means a new day for late-night TV, with one show going to Washington, D.C. for the event.
Donald Trump will take the oath of office at noon on January 20. The event, moved inside the Capitol due to cold weather, gives Trump the chance to deliver his inaugural address further laying out his plan for America over the next four years.
Fox News will send its late-night TV show, Gutfeld!, to Washington for the event. Host Greg Gutfeld plans to broadcast a special episode in front of a live studio audience on Monday, January 20. The show starts at 10 p.m. ET, giving Gutfeld plenty of time to sift through Trump's speech and the reaction.
Frequent Gutfeld! guests Kat Timpf and Tyrus Murdoch are scheduled to sit on the panel with Gutfeld. Taping is set for the performing arts venue DAR Constitution Hall in D.C.
The rest of late-night TV will be new on the night of Trump's inauguration
Maybe if the election had gone a different way, other late-night TV shows would have something special planned. Regardless, late-night TV will be back with new episodes on Monday night.
Stephen Colbert will share his thoughts on a brand-new Late Show. Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Tommy Vietor, and Jalen Ngonda are on the guest list.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! plans to do the same on ABC. Host Jimmy Kimmel welcomes Don Cheadle, Leanne Morgan, and Pete Yorn.
Both NBC shows are new tonight, too. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has Colin Jost, David Alan Grier, Dorinda Medley, and Stereo MCs on the show.
Late Night with Seth Meyers should have "A Closer Look" ready for tonight. Then, Christian Slater and Zosia Mamet join the show.
And finally, The Daily Show adds another brand-new late-night TV option. Expect to see Jon Stewart behind the desk.
