NBC shared some disappointing news regarding Late Night with Seth Meyers this week. Fans of the late-night TV show should temper expectations.
According to the network's schedule, Late Night with Seth Meyers will go dark this week. That means no new episodes will air, beginning on Monday, May 19.
It's yet another week off the spring for Seth Meyers and his team. Considering millions of viewers turn to Meyers' clips every week, this latest absence will leave a hole. No word was given on the reason for the brief hiatus, which typically means it was a scheduled week off for the Late Night team.
The good news is that Late Night with Seth Meyers is the only show taking the week off. Its NBC partner, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, brings all new episodes this week.
Over on ABC, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is back after a week away. And CBS will broadcast brand new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, too.
Late Night with Seth Meyers rerun schedule this week
Repeat episodes of late-night TV shows don't exactly bring in a big audience. Still, NBC will fill the normal 12:35 a.m. timeslot with reruns of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Monday, May 19 will spotlight the April 9 episode featuring Lizzo and Tim Robinson. Tuesday night gives another run for the April 28 episode with Adam Levine and Martha Stewart.
Wednesday, May 21 lets viewers watch the April 29 episode again, with Tina Fey, Gabriel Luna, and Graydon Carter as guests. John Oliver and Chloe Fineman are on the show Thursday night as the May 5 episode gets revisited.
Finally, the week of reruns ends on Friday. NBC plans to rebroadcast the May 6 episode featuring Jonathan Groff, Gracie Lawrence, Adria Arjona, Eric Choi, David Yun, and Steve Choi.
