NBC and well-known comedian and TV host Jimmy Fallon have had a long and fruitful partnership that has left a lasting mark on late-night television. Fallon started as a cast member on the network's popular sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live, before transitioning to host Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and eventually taking over The Tonight Show. And he isn't going anywhere anytime soon!
Not only will he continue to host The Tonight Show until 2028, but he's also set to return as a co-host for another season of a hit game show. NBC has officially renewed Password for a third installment! Also coming back to co-host for this new season is actress Keke Palmer. In addition, Fallon executive produces. Both he and Palmer previously hosted the first two seasons of this latest iteration of the classic '60s game show.
According to Deadline, the cameras have officially started rolling on Password season 3. Things are moving quickly, and soon we will be able to see a bunch of new contestants on our screens, putting their word-guessing skills to the test for the chance to win up to a $25,000 bonus prize.
Password's renewal doesn't come as a surprise at all. The second season premiered in March 2024 and reportedly reached over 32 million viewers across TV and the Peacock streaming service. That said, it was pretty much a given that NBC would bring it back for a third season. We just needed that official announcement. Now that we have it, all there is left to do is wait until it premieres.
Given that the renewal was just announced and production is currently in progress, we're not expecting to hear of a premiere date for the third season anytime soon. So we need to keep ourselves busy in the meantime. Luckily, The Tonight Show is set to return on Sept. 2. Additionally, you can catch Fallon hosting a new reality competition series called On Brand with Jimmy Fallon. It is scheduled to premiere on NBC on Sept. 30.
When it comes to Palmer's work, she has two movies available to stream that were released this year. The buddy comedy One of Them Days is streaming on Netflix, while the action comedy The Pickup is available on Prime Video. She also stars in the upcoming comedy flick Good Fortune. It's slated to hit theaters on Oct. 17, 2025.
