My Next Guest Needs No Introduction season 6 will be here before you know it, with the three episodes dropping on Tuesday, Dec. 16. We’re getting a sneak peek into the season, with this one focusing on Michael B. Jordan’s episode with the former late night TV host.
Jordan is just the first of the celebrities being interviewed this season. David Letterman will also sit down with YouTuber MrBeast and actor Jason Bateman. All of the interviewees have an extensive career, but this isn’t just a chat about their work. It’s a chance to go into their private lives — at least, as much as they’re willing to share.

Michael B. Jordan discusses his plans for responsibility on My Next Guest
In the sneak peek for the episode with Michael B. Jordan, we see Letterman and Jordan relaxed while playing darts. This helps to keep the conversation casual, so they can talk about what Jordan does during his downtime. It turns out that he doesn’t have much of an active social life, though, as a lot of his focus is on prepping for the next movie.
However, he does have wants and dreams in life outside of his career. He would like children, but he wants to make sure he’s ready for them. That means working through his plan for growing responsibility.
It all starts with plants, and if he can keep plants alive, then it will be dogs. If he can do dogs, then he can do children.
However, I do have to argue against the idea of plants and then dogs. I can keep dogs alive and happy, but I’m useless at plants. I just don’t have a green thumb, so I’d start with the dogs. Or maybe a smaller pet if he doesn’t want the dog just yet!
David Letterman will talk about Michael B. Jordan’s career
Of course, there will be a chance to talk about Jordan’s career on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction season 6. The big project to discuss first is Sinners, which continues to gain praise despite being released in April 2025. Jordan takes on two roles in this 1932-set vampire horror.
The two will also discuss Jordan stepping behind the camera to direct movies. There will also be a conversation about a punch to the face, although it’s not clear if that’s during a mishap while filming or something going on in real life. We’ll need to tune in to find out.
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction season 6 drops on Tuesday, Dec. 16 on Netflix.
