Former Vice President Kamala Harris has booked another talk show visit. And once again, it's on a show with a history of getting under President Donald Trump's skin. Harris is set to appear on a show that Trump's White House recently claimed was next to get the ax.
Harris will join The View on Tuesday, September 23. She previously visited the ABC program in October 2024, just prior to losing the presidential election to Donald Trump. Harris comes to The View as part of the promotional tour for her memoir, 107 Days.
The conversation will undoubtedly focus on details from Harris's book regarding her abbreviated run for the White House. Much has been made about what Harris wrote regarding her relationship with President Joe Biden and his staff during their time in office, as well as ahead of the 2024 election.
The appearance is sure to attract an audience, which may or may not include Donald Trump. On the one hand, Trump has proven that he can't turn off the television when he knows he's the topic of conversation. But Team Trump also predicted that The View would be pulled off the air in the wake of CBS cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Trump White House responded to The View following strong criticism from host Joy Behar. In July, Behar suggested Trump envied former President Barack Obama for his looks, marriage, and intelligence. A statement from the White House read "[Joy Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air."
At the time, The View became the latest talk show to join the list of programs President Trump believed should be off the air. He celebrated the news Stephen Colbert will lose his job in 2026, then suggested ABC would soon dump Jimmy Kimmel and that Jimmy Fallon (a "moron") should be removed from his post as host of The Tonight Show.
It won't be the first time Harris appears on a talk show dismissed by Trump. She made a surprise visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on July 31, not long after Colbert shared the news about his late-night fate.
It will be interesting to see how far the hosts of The View push Kamala Harris to criticize President Trump, especially given some of the more recent headlines. If that's the case, then we can be pretty sure that the sitting president will have something to say on social media. But unlike the late-night hosts, former Vice President Harris is unlikely to respond and instead take the high road before engaging in an online back-and-forth with Trump.
