President Donald Trump doesn't appear satisfied with just The Late Show with Stephen Colbert going off the airwaves. Now, he's turning his attention to another talk show after its host criticized the sitting president.

Paramount claims the decision to cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after May 2026 was strictly a financial one. However, the optics suggest politics played a major role in ending the beloved late-night TV franchise. President Trump didn't do much to dispel that notion, posting on social media that he was happy to see Stephen Colbert get the boot and that the president hopes he played a role in the comedian's fate.

The View may be next on the chopping block if President Trump gets his way. The White House issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly that read in part, "[Joy Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air."

The ominous warning came after Behar criticized President Trump during a discussion on Trump's claim that Barack Obama tried to lead a "coup" in the past. Behar suggested Trump envied Obama for his looks, marriage, and intelligence.

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told EW that "Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome." The statement also took a shot at The View's ratings for good measure.

The statement follows Trump's social media posts also calling for ABC to cancel Jimmy Kimmel Live! after CBS did the same to Colbert. Jimmy Kimmel didn't hesitate to respond, firing back at President Trump with a social media post of his own.

Trump has also called for Jimmy Fallon to lose his job as host of The Tonight Show. So far, there seems to be no reason for NBC or ABC to part ways with Kimmel, Fallon, Behar, or any of its other talk show hosts. On the other hand, it has been argued that Paramount needed to curry favor with the Trump administration to approve its merger with Skydance.

President Trump doesn't appear to be backing down from his war on television, no matter what else is on his plate. But we've seen that late-night TV personalities aren't going away either. Expect to see The View and Joy Behar take the same approach even as the president threatens to take them off the air.
