There is some disappointing news for those getting ready for a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, Thursday, Nov. 27. There isn’t going to be one.

To be honest, we knew this going into the week. It’s also not surprising that there isn’t a new episode airing, considering the day of the year that it is. However, if you are looking for new episodes of late night shows, you can turn to NBC for The Tonight Show and Late Night, as both of them are new.

Why isn’t Jimmy Kimmel Live! new tonight?

The show is taking the night off due to Thanksgiving. While NBC can see the benefit of airing the episodes, because a lot of people are already going to be tuning into that network, it doesn’t make sense for ABC to try. All of ABC’s regular programming is off the air tonight, so it’s not just the Jimmy Kimmel series.

We were warned of this. In fact, the schedule for the week made it clear that there would only be new episodes on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The rest of the week is heading into reruns, including tomorrow night’s episode.

Tonight, you can tune into the episode with Kate Winslet and Rhea Seehorn. The musical guest was Stephen Wilson Jr.

There is slated to be a new episode of Nightline, though, tonight. That’s something to keep on your mind if you want a breakdown of the major news stories of the day.

When will Jimmy Kimmel Live! return with new episodes?

We are expecting a new episode on Monday, Dec. 1. The schedule hasn’t been released at the time of writing this, which isn’t all that surprising. We usually don’t get updates until closer to the end of the week, and it may have been difficult to organize it with the Thanksgiving holiday at the end of the week.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the schedule as soon as it’s released. We’re looking forward to seeing who the new celebrity guests are, with some great movies and shows coming out over the holiday period.

Remember that Jimmy Kimmel Live! is available to stream on Hulu. If you don’t want to rewatch the Kate Winslet interview, you can always turn to any of the past episodes on Hulu. You can also turn to YouTube to see the many monologues that are uploaded from the new nights.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! is available to stream on Hulu and airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
