While The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is taking the whole week off from new episodes due to Thanksgiving, that’s not the case with other shows. Jimmy Kimmel Live! will still have some new episodes, although later in the week, we will start to get some reruns.
Reruns are normal this time of year. Whether it’s scripted or unscripted content, the networks start to look at airing specials. Not only does the cast and crew want to take some time off to be with their families, but there is also a need for the networks to put on alternative content. People don’t want to gather around the TV for regular programming when it’s the holiday season.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will have two new episodes between Monday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 30. Then there will be three reruns from previous weeks.
Monday, November 24
Jimy Gaffigan will take to the stage with Jimmy Kimmel during the first episode of the week, which is going to be a lot of fun. Two comedic people together on a stage always means some back and forth.
Then Kate Beckinsale will talk about her upcoming movie Wildcat. She plays a member of a special ops squad, and the whole squad comes together for one last mission. The stakes are high for this mission, as it involves the commander’s young daughter, who needs saving.
As for the musical guest, The Neighbourhood will perform.
Tuesday, November 25
On Tuesday, husband and wife team Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell will appear on the show. The main reason is for the second season of the Netflix series Nobody Wants This. They’ll also be able to talk about a few things that have landed them in the public eye as of late.
Senator Mark Kelly will also chat with Kimmel about the current state of politics, and De La Soul will perform during the night.
Reruns for the rest of the week
The rest of the week will be taken up by reruns from previous episodes. You’ll be able to catch up on the following:
Wednesday, November 26: Kerry Washington, U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, musical guest Lord Huron
Thursday, November 27: Kate Winslet, Rhea Seehorn, musical guest Stephen Wilson Jr.
Friday, November 28: Adam Sandler, Ali Larter, musical guest T-Pain
As usual, the schedule can change if the celebrity guest schedules change. However, the series tries to stick with the plan as much as possible.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
