It seems ABC’s primetime shows won’t be the only ones taking the week off. ABC has released the schedule for the week of February 16 and it’s bad news for Jimmy Kimmel Live! fans as well.
After ABC aired new episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the first two weeks of February, the network is sending Jimmy Kimmel Live! into reruns. It’s unclear why ABC has decided to send its late-night staple into reruns after airing new episodes throughout the month, especially when there is such low competition from other late-night series at the moment with The Tonight Show and Late Night with Seth Meyers off the air.
You would think ABC would want to keep Jimmy Kimmel Live! on the air with fresh episodes with less competition with The Tonight Show off the schedule for late-night Olympics coverage. Instead, it seems the network felt it best to pre-empt the show as we enter the final stretch of the month.
While ABC will not be airing any new episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, it will at least be airing reruns. ABC is going to re-broadcast some of February’s best episodes so far with the following reruns planned:
Monday, Feb. 16 (Original Air Date: 2/10/26): Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) and Ego Nwodim (2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards)
Tuesday, Feb. 17 (Original Air Date: 2/2/26): Don Lemon and Alex Honnold (Skyscrapper Live)
Wednesday, Feb. 18 (Original Air Date 2/12/26): Tyler Perry (Tyler Perry's Joe's College Road Trip), Mae Martin (The Possum stand-up comedy tour), and musical guest Mariachi El Bronx.
Thursday, Feb. 19 (Original Air Date: 2/4/26): Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue) and Michael Irvin (The White House with Michael Irvin).
Friday, Feb. 20 (Original Air Date: 2/11/26): Nick Kroll (GOAT), Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners), and Cory Wong sits in with The Cletones.
If you’re up late and looking for something new to enjoy, CBS will be airing new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert through Thursday. It’s the only late-night show airing new episodes this week and we’re certain Colbert will be churning out some amazing episodes to keep late-night viewers entertained while his competition takes the week off.
The Late Show is certain to enjoy a strong week of ratings with such minimal competition, but things should turn around for the final week of the month. Although ABC and NBC have not yet confirmed their schedules for the week, we expect to see new episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show, and Late Night with Seth Meyers back in the mix after the Winter Olympics come to an end.
