Another major political story means another chance for Jimmy Kimmel to accuse the Republican Party of hypocrisy. The late-night TV host argued the GOP is expressing fake outrage over President Joe Biden's pardon of his son, Hunter Biden.

Despite claiming that he would not pardon his son, President Biden made the announcement last week. It cleared his son of firearm and tax charges, as well as any crimes Hunter may have committed in a designated span of time.

Kimmel's monologue claimed Republicans are exploding with "fake outrage" over the news. In particular, the comedian took issue with comments from Senator John Cornyn of Texas. Cornyn warned that such pardons remove accountability and don't teach young people the importance of following the law.

"And people say politicians have no sense of humor," Kimmel responded to the clip. "These guys have seriously got to be kidding with this. I don't think I can take that they do it with a straight face over and over again."

Kimmel didn't even have to say what many in his audience were thinking. Cornyn's comments completely ignore the fact that a convicted felon was elected president. Moreover, Donald Trump is unlikely to face any consequences or accountability for his role in the January 6th riot.

The late-night host isn't passing any judgment on Joe Biden for the pardon. He's reserving that for the Republicans in Washington expressing what he calls "fake outrage." Or maybe Kimmel is joining Stephen Colbert and looking for a pardon for late-night TV hosts?
