The Late Show with Stephen Colbert remains late-night TV's top-rated show. And with another eventful weekend, millions of fans will want to tune in to hear Stephen Colbert's take.
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, President Donald Trump ramped up rhetoric about Canada and added new tariffs, and Elon Musk continues to pick through the federal government. All in all, it's been a busy weekend.
Unfortunately, we won't get to hear what Stephen Colbert thinks about it on Monday. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Instead, CBS will air a repeat episode of its late-night TV show. Tune in to revisit the January 29 episode that welcomed Will Ferrell and FLO to the show.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is taking an extended break
No, this isn't some long weekend planned for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In fact, the CBS late-night show is off for the rest of the week.
That means reruns all week. After Monday night's show, the network will reair episodes featuring John Dickerson, Willow Avalon, Drew Barrymore, Brandon Scott Jones, Chris Hayes, Nicole Scherzinger, Drew Brees, and Morris Chestnut
No official explanation was given for the week off the air. The best guess is that its a scheduled week off for Stephen Colbert and his crew.
There's still a slight chance of seeing Colbert on TV this week. He could show up at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special on Sunday, February 16. While Colbert failed to land a spot in the SNL cast, he was a guest writer and contributed to "Saturday TV Funhouse."
On the other hand, Colbert's fellow late-night TV hosts will all be back with new episodes this week. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and The Daily Show will each air new programming beginning on Monday night.
