Real Time with Bill Maher was on hiatus last week, leaving late-night TV with one of its most outspoken voices off the air. So what should fans expect to see on HBO tonight?
The Memorial Day weekend let to multiple late-night TV shows going on hiatus, enjoying an extended break, or altering their schedules. Real Time was no different as Maher and his team took some time off despite another busy week in the headlines.
The good news is that the HBO show is back to work on Friday. There will be a brand-new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.
Expect Maher to have something to say about President Donald Trump changing course on tariffs (again). The comedian should also share some thoughts on the ongoing deportations, Elon Musk leaving the Trump administration, and more.
Who's on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?
Bill Maher's first guest on Friday night will make their Real Time debut. His two panel guests should be familiar to fans of the show.
Maher will interview businessman Barry Diller. The 83-year-old American co-founded Fox with Rupert Murdoch and currently serves as chairman and senior executive of IAC and Expedia Group.
From 1974 to 1984, Diller was chairman and chief executive officer of Paramount Pictures. He details those years and more in his new memoir, Who Knew?
CNN anchor Jake Tapper returns to Real Time as a panel guest. He recently co-authored the book Original Sin, outlining President Joe Biden's mental decline and alleged cover-up.
Representative Seth Moulton also sits on the Real Time panel tonight. The Massachusetts Democrat has been critical of his party's approach to national elections in recent years, something that should create common ground with Maher.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs tonight, May 30, on HBO and streams on Max.
