We're ready to close the books on an eventful January. But one late-night TV show still has to have its say about what happened this month: Real Time with Bill Maher.
The month has given late-night TV a lot to talk about, including the January 6 anniversary and subsequent pardons, Donald Trump's inauguration, the string of executive orders, the LA wildfires, and the deadly airplane crash in Washington, D.C.
What Bill Maher will choose to talk about is anyone's guess. But the good news for fans is that there will be a brand-new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight, January 31.
It's likely Maher will join other late-night TV hosts by responded to Trump's theory that DEI initiatives played a role in the collision between an Army helicopter and a commercial flight. The confirmation hearings for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard are likely also on the table.
Who's on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight, January 31?
First up, Bill Maher will interview The Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan. She's also an author, political commentator, and former speechwriter for President Ronald Reagan.
Noonan's most recent publication is A Certain Idea of America: Collected Writings, which include her thoughts on American culture and politics. Expect her to expand on her column arguing Washington is moving away from the old order of doing things.
Writer Max Brooks joins tonight's panel. He was a vocal supporter of the Democrats during the 2024 election, so anticipate him to take a hard stance against Trump's early days in office.
Historian and journalist Dan Jones will also be on tonight's episode. He's an expect on British history and recently published Henry V: The Astonishing Triumph of England's Greatest Warrior King. Jones can give a different perspective on American politics and the country's foreign relations.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs tonight, January 31, at 10: p.m. ET on HBO. The show also streams on Max and "Overtime" airs on CNN.
