The Late Show with Stephen Colbert extended its holiday break on Monday night. So what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Stephen Colbert and company did not air a new episode last night. Other shows, like The Tonight Show and Late Night, also went with reruns following the Thanksgiving break.

But The Late Show had a different reason for taking the night off, and it will keep Colbert away on Tuesday. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the November 20 episode. Fans can revisit Colbert’s conversation with his predecessor, David Letterman. The National also appeared as the musical guest.

Colbert announced Monday that he had undergone surgery for a ruptured appendix. Per doctors’ orders, the late-night TV host will rest rather than host his nightly show.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight, November 28

Stephen Colbert’s monologue is an essential part of late-night TV these days. Without it, things can feel a little empty.

However, there are still options out there for late-night TV on Tuesday night. For example, Jimmy Kimmel will be back with a new episode.

Kimmel will welcome Jon Hamm, Carrie Coon, and Dogstar to tonight’s show. It all starts at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.

At 11:0O, Comedy Central delivers a brand new episode of The Daily Show. Michelle Wolf continues to guest host, and tonight she chats with Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will not be new tonight. The same goes for Late Night with Seth Meyers.
