Jimmy Kimmel has spent years trying to make sense of celebrities, politicians, and more. But the late-night TV host just couldn’t wrap his head around Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest idea.

Kimmel has never held back when it comes to Marjorie Taylor Greene. Once Donald Trump left the White House, politicians like Greene became a frequent target for late-night TV monologues.

In his monologue on Tuesday night, Kimmel continued the trend. “Marjorie Taylor Greene, not a bright woman,” he said. “She says very stupid things on a daily basis. But her new idea must just be her dumbest yet.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live! went on to play clips from an interview in which Greene essentially called for a January 6 committee to investigate … the January 6 committee.

A clearly confused Kimmel wondered why Greene would want to go through January 6 all over again. But the Republican considers what really happened that day to be “the real Big Lie,” despite the hours of video evidence, testimony, and investigations already dedicated to the day.

Jimmy Kimmel also reviewed Marjorie Taylor Greene’s book

Representative Greene also made the news for the release of her first book, MTG. Kimmel covered the news by calling it the first book Greene has ever “written or read.”

“It’s got a little bit of everything,” Kimmel said. “It’s got some revisionist history, it’s got some conspiracy theories, it’s got Jewish space lasers, and of course, Marg’s famous recipe for gazpacho police and a peach tree dish.”

Kimmel circled back to MTG’s book after recapping her idea to investigate the January 6 committee. “Did she need to write a book? Couldn’t we have given her some crayons and a Denny’s placemat?”

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s book now has a place next to Ted Cruz’s latest publication on Jimmy Kimmel’s bookshelf. The authors probably don’t mind the publicity from Kimmel while the comedian gets another excuse to go after his favorite targets.
