It’s Thanksgiving week, and that means people are looking to get an early start on the holiday. But what about The Late Show with Stephen Colbert?

The Late Show has already taken a week off since returning from a hiatus brought on by the writers’ strike. So hearing Stephen Colbert was going dark this week wouldn’t be a total surprise.

However, there is good news for late-night TV fans. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Stephen Colbert’s monologue could get a head start on the holiday by sharing some Thanksgiving remarks. President Joe Biden’s attempt to pardon a turkey certainly provided Colbert with monologue material. Then there’s always Donald Trump’s legal problems to give Colbert something to talk about.

Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight, November 20?

Tonight, there is only one guest on the schedule for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. While that may sound like a letdown, it’s for good reason.

David Letterman makes his return to The Late Show. He’ll sit down with his predecessor as a guest for the first time.

Letterman interviewed Colbert on The Late Show during his final stretch of shows when it was announced that Colbert would be given the keys to the show.

2023 marks the 30th anniversary of The Late Show with David Letterman, something that will certainly come up during tonight’s show. Letterman may also plug the charity contest giving fans a chance to win the old Late Show marquee along with a meet-and-greet with the comedian.

The National will also appear on tonight’s episode as the musical guest. The band’s album Laugh Track was released in September.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight, November 20, at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS. It also streams on Peacock.
