Stephen Colbert’s monologues continue to give viewers all the info they need about Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. The latest episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert focused on Kelly Johson, the Speaker’s wife, and her anti-LGBTQ views.

Colbert’s monologue already tried to answer the question “who is Mike Johnson?” after the Louisiana representative became Speaker of the House. Then, Colbert mocked Johnson for his beliefs that the Bible is fact.

Now, the Late Show host has turned his attention to Kelly Johnson. She has made it clear she shares the same political, social, and religious beliefs as her husband. That includes her stance on LGBTQ rights, which caught the attention of Stephen Colbert.

The Late Show monologue on Tuesday night profiled Kelly Johnson’s Onward Christian Counseling Services. According to Colbert, it “offensively and outrageously equates being gay with bestiality.”

Stephen Colbert calls out Kelly Johnson’s ’13th-century beliefs’

The deeper Stephen Colbert looked into Kelly Johnson’s counseling services, the more the comedian seemed shocked that it was a real thing.

Colbert broke down the philosophy behind Johnson’s system and wasn’t exactly impressed. The Late Show host called them “13th-century beliefs” and joked that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson would replace the Affordable Care Act with “The Affordable Leech Act.”

Colbert also called out the Johnsons for shuttering Kelly’s website after Mike became Speaker of the House. “GoDaddy works in mysterious ways,” Colbert joked. “Now when you go to see the site, you just see ‘Error 404: This seemed OK before I knew we’d be famous.'”

It seems like Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and his wife Kelly have a pretty significant online presence. Their podcasts, websites, and more are now under more scrutiny than ever. So expect Stephen Colbert’s monologues to continue digging into the couple and learning more about them.
