With so much going on in the world this week, Real Time with Bill Maher has a lot to catch up on. So what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on HBO?

Bill Maher dove headfirst into the headlines once Real Time returned from the hiatus brought on by the writers’ strike. So far, he’s covered President Joe Biden’s age, Hasan Minhaj, and much more.

Look for things to continue on Friday night. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.

The violence in Israel and Gaza should still be a topic of conversation, especially following President Biden’s trip overseas. Here in the U.S., Representative Jim Jordan once again failed to secure enough votes to become the new Speaker of the House. Expect Maher to have something to say about that, too.

Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?

First up, journalist and documentarian Alexandra Pelosi returns to Real Time with Bill Maher. The daughter of Representative Nancy Pelosi, she has a new documentary streaming on Max. The Insurrectionist Next Door features conversations with people who stormed the Capitol on January 6.

The Real Time panel for October 20 features two individuals with a long history on the show. Fans should anticipate a lively and free-flowing conversation.

Paul Begala returns for the second time this year. The Democratic strategist can also be seen on CNN.

Bret Stephens will make his 12 appearance since 2015. The conservative columnist can be read in The New York Times.

Real Time with Bill Maher airs tonight, October 20, at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO.
