By David Goward
The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon celebrated St. Patrick’s day at Mulconry’s Irish Pub and Restaurant in New York. The pub is reportedly one of Jimmy Fallon’s favorites to visit. The Tonight Show host spent the holiday at Mulconry’s taking photos with fans, serving shots of Jameson, and jamming with a local band.
Jimmy Fallon played with the local New York band The Galtee Mountain Boys at Mulconry’s Irish Pub. Fallon joined the band to play some well-known hits, including the hit song “Zombies” by the Irish band The Cranberries and the Georgia Satellites hit “Keep Your Hands to Yourself”.
The band The Galtee Mountain Boys seemed to enjoy the jam with Jimmy Fallon as well, posting after the show on Facebook the below message to fans.
"“What an amazing night we had at Mulconry’s Irish Pub & Restaurant tonight! There is nothing like playing a GREAT Irish Pub on St Patrick’s Day! Thanks Damien for always having us come back and play and thank you to Jimmy Fallon for making everyone’s night and coming up to sing a bunch of tunes with us!! See you all next year! 💚☘”"
Jimmy Fallon celebrates St. Patrick’s Day as Van Morrison
The host of The Tonight Show is not new to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Back when Jimmy Fallon was a cast member on Saturday Night Live, he performed multiple musical impressions. One of Fallon’s famous impressions while was of the northern Irish artist Van Morrison.
During the performance on Saturday Night Live, Fallon can be seen doing a very good impersonation of Van Morrison in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The song contains non-sensical lyrics but fits very well in the style and cadence of a Van Morrison song. Fallon also enjoyed dumping several cups of beer on himself during the impression.
We hope everyone that celebrated St. Patrick’s Day had a good holiday and celebrated safely.
