The New Year’s holiday is in the rearview mirror and many people were back to work on Tuesday. Does that include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert?

The CBS last-night TV show signed off before the holidays last month, completing another impressive year. But with some major news breaking in the past few days, fans are eager to hear from Stephen Colbert in 2023.

Thankfully, they’ll get their wish on Tuesday. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Expect Colbert’s monologue to recap the holidays, the latest on former President Donald Trump’s tax returns, and the Republican Party in-fighting around Kevin McCarthy’s bid for speaker of the House.

Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert isn’t wasting any time when it comes to making a splash in 2023. Tonight’s guest lineup is sure to draw attention.

First up, Colbert will interview Michelle Obama. The former first lady had been out promoting her new book The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times. She’ll be given the Colbert Questionert, having appeared on the show a month ago.

Then, Quinta Brunson joins the show. The actor, writer, and comedian will talk up season 2 of her sitcom Abbott Elementary. The ABC comedy returns tomorrow night.

Finally, comedian Tom Papa stops by The Late Show. He released his Netflix special Tom Papa: What a Day! back in November.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight, January 3, at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
