Watch Michelle Obama lead Team USA to victory in The Late Late Show’s celebrity dodgeball game.

The Late Late Show with James Corden kicked off its week of London shows on Monday night. To celebrate James Corden bringing his American show back home to the UK, he staged a celebrity dodgeball game between a team of American celebrities led by former First Lady Michelle Obama and a British team featuring Corden’s friends.

There was plenty of hype around the game since it was announced last week. Michelle Obama is a popular figure both in the U.S. and abroad so any event featuring the former first lady is going to get attention. She didn’t disappoint and neither did Corden, delivering one of his more memorable bits in recent memory.

Obama’s Team USA featured some popular Late Late Show guests like Mila Kunis, Allison Janney, and Melissa McCarthy. Corden called in Harry Styles, Benedict Cumberbatch, and John Bradley to bring home a victory. But it looks like all those pushups and healthy eating Obama did in the White House paid off on the dodgeball court:

Obama looked like she was the MVP of the first game. It’s possible that Team UK was a little hesitant to go all out against her to start. Benedict Cumberbatch put an end to that theory once things got going as you could tell by his reaction after knocking her out of the game. But that was nothing compared to the shot Obama landed on Harry Styles.

The dodgeball game itself was very entertaining. James Corden and his writers also deserve credit for the bits they came up to fill time between the matches. Highlights include Reggie Watts accepting his honorary British status, Team UK’s tea break, and Michelle Obama’s impromptu book signing.

Obama has become something of a late night fixture. She has done interviews or bits with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Conan O’Brien among others. And it doesn’t look like fans are growing tired of seeing her, either.
