Viewers slate “shameless” Kris Jenner appearance on Bill Maher podcast
For anyone that has kept up with Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, they’ll know it’s quite the watch. Maher has made it a tradition to invite almost anyone to his home basement, indulging in overly large joints and heavy tequila. It’s exactly the celebrity podcast we’ve been waiting for.
Even staunch critics of Maher’s weekly Real Time show can’t get enough.
This week, however, Maher’s choice of guest has viewers divided. Kris Jenner, notably one of the most decorated entertainment figures in the US, made an appearance, and the critics have come out to play.

Sure, we should have expected this. Regular viewers will know that Maher wants his guests at ease, unaware of the camera, and focused on discussion. Jenner just wasn’t the right fit for this type of setting.
Just minutes into the episode, the Kardashian was already product placing, offering Bill a glass of 818 Tequila, created by Kendall Jenner. It was almost the worst move a guest could pull on a personality like Maher, who was seemingly confused by the entire ordeal.
“10 seconds in and a Jenner/Kardashian is pimping a product. Shameless,” a comment read on the YouTube video.
Despite Jenner’s attempt at an unnecessary promotion, viewers were mostly more critical of how dull the discussion was.
From the get-go, it seemed the two were hardly familiar with each other. Fans of the podcast were gifted with an hour of small talk and the odd joke attempt from Maher.

Things got so dry, Maher even suggested the idea that the two host a morning show.
“One day, you and I are going to be doing a morning show,” he told Jenner. The two revisited the idea shortly before the episode was abruptly cut short by Bill.
Judging by how Maher fans have reacted to Kris’s appearance, we may be in for quite the treat when Fox News host, Tucker Carlson finally appears on the podcast. Maher admitted recently that the interview was in the works, but has found it difficult to negotiate a time and place.
Remember, it’s in the title. Club Random was always going to be somewhat avant-garde. It’s what makes the podcast watchable. And, for viewers that want less of politics and more of Maher, they’ve found their heaven.
