Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, September 13?
By Matt Moore
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert started the week with a repeat on Monday night as the show attended the Emmy Awards. So what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?
Stephen Colbert was on the red carpet in Los Angeles for the Primetime Emmys. His Late Show failed to dethrone Last Week Tonight with John Oliver in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category.
But there is good news for Colbert’s loyal fans: There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Expect Colbert to recap some of his Emmy experience and likely deliver a backhanded compliment to his old pal John Oliver for yet another win. Then, it will be time for Colbert to get to the news as we continue to learn more about former President Donald Trump’s storage of classified documents.
Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?
First up, Stephen Colbert will interview Hollywood legend, Robert de Niro. The actor will be on promoting his role in the upcoming film Amsterdam. The film stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington. But the ensemble cast also includes Chris Rock, Rami Malke, Anya Taylor-Joy, Mike Myers, Zoe Saldana, and Taylor Swift.
Then, Ethan Hawke joins The Late Show. The actor has multiple upcoming projects worth discussing. He’ll appear along with Daniel Craig in the mystery movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery coming to Netflix in December. Fans can also see Hawke opposite Ewan McGregor in the comedy-drama Raymond and Ray coming to Apple TV+ in October.
Tonight’s musical guest is St. Vincent. She released the album Daddy’s Home last year and contributed the song “Funkytown” to the Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight, September 13, at 11:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
