Jeopardy! fans have been waiting patiently for new episodes to arrive. So what should they expect to see tonight?

The summer has been dedicated to revisiting some of the past season’s most exciting moments. From long winning streaks to sudden-death games, Jeopardy! fans saw it all. But many are ready for the new season to begin.

Unfortunately, it won’t start on Tuesday. There will not be a new episode of Jeopardy! tonight.

Instead, it will be another classic episode from the previous season. Tonight’s game originally aired on August 23. It featured the first victory by Christine Whelchel, who will be seen in the Tournament of Champions.

When does Jeopardy! return with new episodes?

Jeopardy! last aired a new episode back at the end of July. Luigi de Guzman became the current champion, winning $23,401 in his one game.

He’ll get the chance to defend his title and start a winning streak when Jeopardy! returns on September 12. It will mark the 39th season of the game show.

When the show does return, it will also bring back its two hosts. Both Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik are set to return, trading off hosting duties throughout the season.
