Who’s guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, August 22?

Jimmy Kimmel Live! returns on Monday night with another brand new episode. So who should fans expect to see as the latest guest host?

As Jimmy Kimmel remains on summer vacation, his show has been handed over to several famous faces. In recent weeks, fans have seen Nicole Byer, Al Franken, Desus Nice, and Rob McElhenney all try their hand at running a late-night TV show.

Tonight, it’s Lamorne Morris’ turn. Fans will recognize the actor and comedian from New Girl, Woke, and Jumanji: The Next Level among other projects. You can currently hear him co-host the New Girl rewatch podcast Welcome to Our Show with former co-stars Hannah Simone and Zooey Deschanel. Next up, he joins the new season of Fargo.

Who’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight?

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has done an excellent job of pairing guests with its guest hosts. Typically, it’s to promote a shared project or the guest and host have an existing relationship. So it some cases, it was probably part of the deal. Still, it’s helped make things run as smooth as possible.

However, that isn’t necessarily the case tonight. Lamorne Morris’ first guest is actor Dave Franco. The pair have never worked together. Franco will be on to promote his new Netflix film Day Shift co-starring Jamie Foxx. Oddly enough, Morris recently filmed a movie called Night Shift.

Then, actor Trevante Rhodes joins the show. The Moonlight actor has also yet to share the stage or screen with Morris. He’ll be on to discuss his role as Mike Tyson in the Hulu biopic Mike.

Tonight’s musical guest will be Tedeschi Trucks Band. Their album I Am the Moon: IV. Farewell was released earlier this year.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
