Nicole Byer guest hosts Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight

Nicole Byer will become the latest Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest host on Wednesday night. The comedian steps in for the first of her two-night run as host.

Byer will become the third different guest host to take over for Jimmy Kimmel this week. Desus Nice and Al Franken hosted on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Kimmel remains on his summer vacation. In fact, you may have seen him pop up in Instagram pictures from Kristen Bell that also featured Jason Bateman, Adam Scott, and other notable celebrities.

But back in Hollywood, Byer will get her shot at hosting a late-night TV show. Fans may recognize her from shows like 30 Rock, The Good Place, or Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Or, maybe you listen to one of her four podcasts: Why Won’t You Date Me?, Best Friends!, 90 Day Bae, and Newcomers. Or, perhaps you watched her Emmy-nominated Netflix special Nicole Byer: BBW (Big Beautiful Weirdo).

Hosting won’t be anything new to Byer, either. She’s led the bake-off reality series Nailed It! and the obstacle course challenge Wipeout.

Who’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with guest host Nicole Byer tonight?

First up, actress Aubrey Plaza joins the show. Nicole Byer did have a role in Plaza’s 2016 comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, so there is a connection between the host and guest. Plaza will be on to promote her new film Emily the Criminal.

Then, comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata will appear. Zamata co-hosts the podcast Best Friends! with Byer, so fans are in for an entertaining conversation.

Father John Misty serves as tonight’s musical guest. He released the album Chloë and the Next 20th Century in April.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
