James Corden refuses to read out Harry Styles messages… but why?
James Corden forced himself into an uncomfortable position this week on his late night show. The Late Late Show, currently airing a number of spin-off shows in London, invited Billie Eilish to play Fill Your Guts or Spill Your Guts.
The premise of the segment sees both the guest and Corden answer tricky or embarrassing questions or as a forfeit, eat a disgusting meal. It’s the pinnacle of celebrity entertainment.
Corden was faced with a particularly tricky question this week, for one reason or another, when asked to read out his most recent messages with popstar, Harry Styles.
We’re aware of how close the TV host and the former One Direction band member are, so we can only imagine the conversations are pretty personal.
News surrounding Styles’ former bandmates have been far from positive, with most recently, Liam Payne flaunting a rather egotistical personality whilst throwing down numerous glasses of whiskey on Logan Paul’s Impulsive podcast. Online rumours are suggesting that Payne’s behaviour may be fuelling a growing conflict between the group.
We can never be sure what Styles’ had written to Corden, but we can presume it’s of a topic Corden knows Harry Styles does not want in the public sphere.
Late Late Show back in London
After 3 years, the Late Late Show finally set sail back to London for another set of spin-off shows in England’s capital city.
The late night show has already seen an impressive line-up of guests including Ed Sheeran, David Harbour and John Boyega.
This will mark the last time Corden takes his US late night show back to his home country before exiting the show next year. Speaking on his departure when the news was first announced, Corden said: “When I started this journey, it was always going to be just that. It was going to be a journey, an adventure.”
“I never saw it as my final destination, you know? And I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way. I always want to love making it.”
Catch The Late Late Show 12:37-1:37 AM (ET/PT) on CBS.
