Monday night brought a new episode of Jeopardy! to fans. The returning champion looked to start the week off with another win.

Last week, the champ ran through the competition with a few close calls along the way. Fans are definitely curious to see if that momentum can continue.

Who is the current Jeopardy! champion?

Megan Wachspress, an attorney from Berkeley, California, is the current Jeopardy! champion. Through four games, she has banked $51,601.

On Monday, her competition included Tory Leviton, a musician and teacher from Englewood, Colorado, and Ketty Pan, a head of new product development from Henderson, Nevada.

The “Jeopardy!” round was a competitive one, with all three players finishing with similar scores. Wachspress led with $4,400, followed by Leviton with $4,200, and Pan with $3,000.

“Double Jeopardy!” turned into a two-horse race between Wachspress and Leviton. The musician from Colorado grabbed the lead with $10,200, with the champ close behind at $10,000. Unfortunately for Pan, her incorrect responses on both “Double Jeopardy!” clues cost her as she dropped down to $200.

“Final Jeopardy!” was a dramatic one. All three players answered incorrectly. Both Wachspress and Leviton bet big. In the end, the returning champ had the smarter bet and she won again by just $201. Wachspress’ five-day total now sits at $52,002.
