Mattea Roach’s run as Jeopardy! champion ended on Friday. So on Monday night, Danielle Maurer looked to prove she wasn’t just a one-hit-wonder.
Maurer, a digital marketing manager from Peachtree Corners, Georgia, shocked Jeopardy! fans last week when she ended Roach’s 23-game streak. She took home $15,600 in her first victory.
Tonight, she faced off against Emily Levant, an associate creative director from Los Angeles, California, and Karim Oliver, a student at Vanderbilt University from St. Petersburg, Florida.
Who won Jeopardy! tonight?
Danielle Maurer stayed in the driver’s seat after the “Jeopardy!” round. She led with $5,400, while Emily Levant was in second with $3,600. Karim Oliver finished the round in third at $1,400.
In “Double Jeopardy!,” Maurer extended her lead. Banking $14,600, she held her lead over Levant ($8,400) and Oliver ($1,400).
“Final Jeopardy!” managed to stump all three players. Despite not coming up with the correct response. Maurer won again thanks to her conservative wager. Her two-day total sits at $27,999.
