Who’s hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, April 30?
By Matt Moore
Saturday Night Live season 47 has featured some surprising host choices. So what should SNL fans expect to see tonight?
Only a handful of hosts so far this season were returning faces to Studio 8H. Instead, first-timers like Kim Kardashian, Simu Liu, and Lizzo have all been given the keys to the show.
Unfortunately, a new name won’t get added to that list on Saturday. There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.
Instead, NBC will reair the January 15, 2022 episode hosted by Ariana DeBose with musical guest Bleachers. DeBose is one of 15 first-time hosts who have appeared so far in Saturday Night Live season 47.
Fans can also check out an episode at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC. The April 7, 2012 episode hosted by Sofia Vergara with musical guest One Direction will be on.
Who’s hosting Saturday Night Live next?
The good news is that Saturday Night Live won’t keep its fans waiting too long for a new episode. The show is scheduled to return next week on May 7.
Benedict Cumberbatch will return to Studio 8H to host for the second time. He’ll be joined by musical guest Arcade Fire.
The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star first hosted back in 2016. Next week’s show will make Cumberbatch the fourth repeat host to appear in SNL season 47.
That show will also be number 19 on the season. Typically, SNL airs 21 episodes during a regular season. It means that we’re running out of hosts before the show’s summer hiatus.
No announcements have been made about who will host after Benedict Cumberbatch. Stay tuned for updates!
