Saturday Night Live gave fans three brand new episodes in a row. Will SNL make it four in a row tonight?

Last week, Lizzo pulled double-duty as host and musical guest. That followed the two previous new episodes hosted by Jerrod Carmichael and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Unfortunately, that streak will not continue on Saturday. There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.

Instead, NBC will reair the December 11, 2021 episode from earlier this season. Interested fans can see Billie Eilish’s turn as host and musical guest once again.

And for the SNL trivia buffs out there, Eilish made history in that episode. The singer became the first Saturday Night Live host born in the 21st century.

When will Saturday Night Live return?

Saturday Night Live fans know that we’re nearing the end of season 47. Typically, an SNL season is around 21 episodes. Lizzo’s show on April 16 was episode number 18 of the season.

Episode 19 is set to air on May 7. That means fans will have to wait another two weeks before seeing new sketches.

And when SNL does return, it will be with host Benedict Cumberbatch. The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star last hosted in 2016. He’ll become only the fourth repeat host this season.

Supporting Cumberbatch as the musical guest will be Arcade Fire. This will be the rock band’s sixth time on Saturday Night Live, with their last appearance coming back in 2018.

If you don’t want to wait for SNL content, you have options. The show’s YouTube channel features sketches, including those cut for time. Peacock streams every season the show for anyone who wants to go back into the vault.
