After it was announced that Joe Biden has supposedly told former President Obama that he would run again in 2024, Jimmy Fallon has reacted in just the way you’d expect.

A source speaking to The Hill reportedly aware of the conversation said, “[Biden] wants to run and he’s clearly letting everyone know”.

“I believe he thinks he’s the only one who can beat Trump. I don’t think he thinks there’s anyone in the Democratic party who can beat Trump and that’s the biggest factor,” the source added.

During the Tonight Show host’s monologue last night, Fallon announced the news. He joked, mocking Joe Biden in the scenario: “Biden was like – ‘I’ll consider the long silent stare your blessing'”.

The host continued, “Obama actually had some good advice. He said ‘Be careful, after two terms, people might say you look old'”.

Jimmy Fallon just recently visited Joe Biden at the White House for the White House Easter Egg Roll. During the event, Fallon read his book, ‘Nana Loves You More’ alongside the President and First Lady.

Jimmy Fallon talks dropped mask mandate on planes

As always, Fallon also took the time to recap the latest events in the news cycle, commenting on the recent decision by a Florida judge to scrap mask mandates on planes. The host joked about the possible risks of such a decision. Fallon told his audience last night: “When the news broke, some pilots actually announced the news mid-flight and people started celebrating.”

“Passengers were dancing, hugging, kissing and now they’re all in quarantine”, the host said.

Other late night hosts also covered the news last night, including CBS’s Stephen Colbert. He said:  “Out of the blue, a federal judge struck down the mask mandate for planes and public transport, which is great news for anyone who ever road public transport and said this is way too sanitary.”
