Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will find himself on yet another new NBC show this summer, as the network announces the revival of game show, Password.

The show’s general premise has been used as a segment on Fallon’s show for many years. The late night host’s spin on the game show has seen celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez and Gucci Mane taking part.

Keke Palmer has been announced as host for the new series, with Fallon taking part in every episode. This will also be the third time that NBC have brought back the show, previously in 1979 and 1984.

The format is fairly easy to understand. One contestant on either team is given a word, now having the responsibility to aid their remaining teammates to guess the unknown ‘password’. If the team fails to guess, the oppositional team is given a chance.

Part of NBC’s recent decision to bring back the show could be to do with its popularity on Fallon’s show over the years. On YouTube, clipped segments of the game see several million views per upload. Even with Fallon’s ability to rack in online views, it’s pretty impressive.

Fallon adds yet another show to his yearly schedule

Even late night’s most decorated host is keen on staying busy. Despite releasing yet another children’s book this year, Jimmy Fallon continues to feature on a variety of television shows.

Just recently announced, Fallon’s hosting duties on NBC’s That’s My Jam are set to continue as the show was renewed for 2022. Also, we could very soon see Fallon’s additional part in The Kids Tonight Show extended for this year. Add this to his new role on Password, and we’re witnessing quite the schedule for the rest of his year!
