James Corden asks Camila Cabello about dating life using lie detector

Camila Cabello joined James Corden this week for the Late Late Show’s latest installment of Carpool Karaoke. During the ride, Camila agreed to take a lie detector test whilst Corden asked her questions about her dating life.

Corden started his list of questions by asking Cabello: “Since becoming single, have you slid, romantically into any DM’s [Direct Messages]?”. Cabello seemed stumbled on the question before choosing to answer no. Unfortunately for Cabello, the lie detector sensed she was lying.

The singer did however admit that several verified celebs have messaged her privately. Oh how we’d love to know which ones…

Camila’s dating life has been a hot topic for fans after the singer broke up with her ex-boyfriend, Shawn Mendes in November of 2021. Announcing the breakup in an Instagram post, Cabello said: “We’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

During the Carpool Karaoke segment, Cabello touched on her initial rise to fame on The X Factor.

She told Corden: “I was 15. I was a huge One Direction fan”. The singer continued, “I literally was like I am auditioning for X Factor because I will marry Harry Styles. I really believed that at the time”.

The singer went on to admit to Corden that despite her success from the talent show, she does not miss being in a band, despite no “hard feelings”. Cabello also confessed to not missing “splitting creative decisions five ways”.
