Saturday Night Live is nearing the end of season 47. So what should SNL fans expect to see tonight on NBC?

Last week, Jake Gyllenhaal returned to host for the first time in 15 years. The Ambulance actor starred in episode 17 of what should be a 21-episode season.

SNL fans will get episode 18 on Saturday. There will be a brand new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.

Not only is tonight’s episode new, but it’s a special one at that. Singer Lizzo joins the exclusive “double duty” club as both the host and musical guest.

What to watch for on Saturday Night Live

Tonight’s Saturday Night Live episode comes on the night before Easter. And while the holiday doesn’t inspire the same type of sketches as Christmas or Halloween, Easter has still provided SNL with material in the past.

Expect to see a new Easter sketch tonight. SNL often does some of its best holiday work with sketches set around family gatherings, so that setup could return.

There’s also a chance that we get a surprise guest or cameo to celebrate the holiday or to support Lizzo as both host and musical guest. Last week’s episode with Jake Gyllenhaal was one of the few shows from season 47 that didn’t feature a cameo in either a sketch or prerecorded video.

One of the biggest headlines of the week was Elon Musk‘s attempt to buy Twitter. Given that Musk also made headlines when he hosted SNL last season, the show has a connection to the story. It wouldn’t be a shock to see a Musk/Twitter-inspired cold open tonight, nor would it be a surprise to see SNL shoehorn James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump into the mix.

Saturday Night Live airs tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. The show also streams live on Peacock.
