Jeopardy! champion Jackie Kelly had an impressive payday on Tuesday night. Did she add to her total tonight, or is there a new contestant coming back tomorrow?
Kelly, a pension calculation developer from Cary, North Carolina, dominated the competition last night. She entered Wednesday night’s game with a three-day total of $91,101.
Tonight, her competition featured Joey Lavarias, a bassoonist and graduate student from Greensboro, North Carolina, and Candace Orsetti, a writer and editor from Annapolis, Maryland.
Who won Jeopardy! tonight?
Similar to Tuesday’s game, Wednesday saw Jackie Kelly get out to a big lead after the “Jeopardy!” round. The returning champion earned $14,600. In second place was Candace Orsetti with $2,800, followed by Joey Lavarias with $2,200.
While Lavarias closed the gap in “Double Jeopardy!,” he couldn’t make things competitive with Kelly. She finished the second round of questions with $23,000. Lavarias had $11,000 and Orsetti banked $4,000.
“Final Jeopardy!” saw only Kelly come up with the correct response, adding to her total. The North Carolina native won her fourth game in a row.
What was tonight’s Final Jeopardy! question?
For the second consecutive game, “Final Jeopardy!” didn’t factor into the final outcome as Kelly had things locked up. Regardless, here’s the clue in the category “Americans in Paris”:

Answer: Who is Josephine Baker?
Baker, a popular performer at the Folies Bergère cabaret in Paris during the 1920s, received full French military honors for her contributions to the French Resistance during World War II.
Kelly added $999 to her total when she answered correctly. Orsetti guessed “Who is Fitzgerald?” while Lavarias came up with “Who is Zora Neale Hurston?” as his response.
