Jeopardy! champion Jackie Kelly tried to make it three in a row on Friday night. Here’s how things played out in tonight’s game.
Kelly, a pension calculation developer from Cary, North Carolina, entered tonight’s Jeopardy! game with a two-day total of $36,301. She demonstrated a willingness to wager big in the later stages of the game, and so far it has paid off.
Friday, she was paired up against John Darcy, an editor from Los Angeles, California, and Jennie Bunde, a rabbinical student from Galesburg, Illinois.
Who won Jeopardy! tonight?
Jackie Kelly was flat-out dominant in the “Jeopardy!” round. She answered 14 questions correctly, including the “Daily Double.” She ended the first round with $15,200. John Darcy was a distant second with $1,600, followed by Jennie Bunde with $1,000.
“Double Jeopardy!” gave audiences more of the same. Kelly hit on 12 out of 13 questions on the way to amassing $30,800. Darcy wound up with $3,000. Meanwhile, Bunde couldn’t buzz in on any clue and stayed at $1,000.
With a healthy lead, Kelly found herself with an opportunity for a big payday. She did just that, wagering $24,000 and coming through with the correct response. Kelly won tonight’s game with an impressive total of $54,800.
What was tonight’s Final Jeopardy question?
While the game was already decided, all three contestants did manage to answer “Final Jeopardy” correctly. Here’s the clue in the category “Shakespeare’s Women”:

A closer game would have made the final clue a little more exciting as all three players knew the answer. However, it did help Jackie Kelly win more in one game than she had in the previous two combined.
