Jeopardy! started a new week of shows with a new champion. Here’s how Matt Glassman did on tonight’s brand new episode.

Glassman earned the right to return on Monday after putting an end to Maureen O’Neil’s run on Friday. The bar owner from Los Angeles, California earned a one-day total of $8,900.

On tonight’s Jeopardy, Glassman faced off against Amy Bekkerman, an academic copy editor from Durham, New Hampshire, and Susan Swan, an employment attorney from San Diego, California.

Who won Jeopardy! tonight?

Matt Glassman used his experience to his advantage in the “Jeopardy!” round. After the first set of clues, he was in the lead with $7,200. Amy Bekkerman wasn’t too far behind with $4,400, followed by Susan Swan with $2,400.

Glassman only added to his lead in the “Double Jeopardy!” round. The returning champ totaled an impressive $16,000. Bekkerman stayed in second with $9,600 while Swan had $5,600.

However, Glassman’s luck ran out in “Final Jeopardy!”. He answered incorrectly, opening the door for Bekkerman. The copy editor answered correctly and wagered enough to top Glassman and become the new Jeopardy! champion. Bekkerman banked $16,100 on tonight’s show.

What was tonight’s Final Jeopardy! question?
