Jeopardy! was back on Tuesday night with a new episode and a new returning champion. Here’s how everything played out on tonight’s episode.
Maureen O’Neil, an executive assistant from Rye Beach, New Hampshire, didn’t exactly break the bank when she banked $2,200 during her win on Monday night. But you can’t start a winning streak until you get the first one out of the way.
O’Neil looked to build that winning streak on Tuesday. She faced off against Gundeep Singh, an analyst from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, and Miranda Wilson, an occupational therapist from Fayetteville, West Virginia.
Who won Jeopardy! tonight?
After the “Jeopardy!” round, Maureen O’Neil found herself in the driver’s seat. She earned $4,200 after the first batch of questions. Miranda Wilson was in second with $3,800, and Gundeep Singh went first in “Double Jeopardy!” after finishing with $2,600.
O’Neil maintained her lead in “Double Jeopardy!,” finishing with $9,400. Singh moved up into second place with $8,600, followed by Wilson with $6,200. It all set up what looked to be an exciting final round.
The returning champion put it all on the line in “Final Jeopardy!” by wagering everything she had. It paid off as she answered the clue correctly, doubling her score and giving her another victory and a two-day total of $21,000.
Wilson also answered correctly and managed to jump up to finish second. Singh failed to come up with the correct response, dropping to third place.

Maureen O’Neil clearly felt confident when she saw the “Final Jeopardy!” category announced. Here’s the clue in “Broadway Musicals”:

As mentioned, both O’Neil and Wilson came up with the correct response. Singh guessed “What is Bye Bye Birdie?” costing him all but $1 of his total.
