Jeopardy! champion Margaret Shelton put her three-day winning streak on the line Friday night. Here’s how the game turned out during another brand new episode.
Shelton, a homemaker from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, amassed a three-day total of $58,200 heading into Friday’s game. It had been an impressive performance all week as she faced off against some tough competition.
Tonight, she went up against Adrian Alcalá, a software developer from Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and Caitlin McHale, a university marketing manager from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Who won Jeopardy! tonight?
Margaret Shelton used her experience to her advantage during the “Jeopardy!” round. She finished in first place with $7,200. In second place was Caitlin McHale with $3,600 followed by Adrian Alcalá in third with $2,200.
Shelton made the game into a runaway during “Double Jeopardy!.” After the second round, she banked $24,00. Her competition wasn’t close, as McHale netted $5,600 and Alcalá earned $4,600.
The champ was able to coast into “Final Jeopardy!” with a comfortable lead. However, the question was anything but easy as all three contestants answered incorrectly.
Despite the wrong response, Shelton won the game with a total of $21,500. That brings her four-day cash winnings to $79,700.
