Saturday Night Live is coming off a new episode last week, but the sketch show has already taken one break this season. What should fans expect to see tonight on NBC?

Nearly 30 years to the day he cameoed in an episode hosted by his brother, Kieran Culkin got his turn in the spotlight. The Succession star followed in his brother Macaulay Culkin’s footsteps and hosted a solid episode of Saturday Night Live.

The cast, crew, host, and musical guest will all look to keep that momentum going on Saturday. There will be a brand new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.

The Harder They Fall star Jonathan Majors hosts. He’ll be joined by musical guest Taylor Swift for what should be an entertaining episode.

Saturday Night Live looks to capitalize on increased attention around the show

Saturday Night Live fans know that season 47’s ratings haven’t been too outstanding. But without an election or a president providing new material every week, a dropoff compared to last season was expected.

However, last week’s episode gained national attention for a political sketch of a different kind. Cecily Strong’s “Weekend Update” bit as Goober, a clown who had an abortion at 23, made headlines and earned Strong (and SNL) praise.

It will be worth watching to see how, if at all, SNL decides to run with that. Could we get more bits like that one, blurring the lines between honesty and parody? At the very least, everyone was reminded that Cecily Strong is SNL’s MVP.

Meanwhile, the entertainment world’s focus on Taylor Swift should help SNL. Swift released a 10-minute version of her song “All Too Well” that immediately set the internet on fire as fans dissected the expanded lyrics.

With Swift set to perform the song on SNL, it should bring even more eyes to tonight’s episode. Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
