Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, September 3?

We’re already at the first Friday of September. Will that bring with it the first new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher of the month?

Fans certainly hope so. Some critics may feel the same way, too. Bill Maher has been trending nearly every Saturday after a new episode airs in season 19. Thanks to his harsh and controversial takes on the pandemic, Republicans, and Afghanistan, Maher has people debating his opinions every weekend.

Unfortunately, that trend won’t continue tonight. There will not be a new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight. With Labor Day on Monday, it’s likely that the Real Time crew is enjoying some much-deserved time off.

Instead, HBO will reair the August 27 episode. Audiences have another chance to see Maher with his guests Craig Whitlock, Katty Kay, and Ralph Reed.

What to watch instead of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight

As fans are probably well aware, there usually aren’t too many options in the world of late-night TV on Friday nights. That is especially true with Real Time with Bill Maher airs a repeat.

Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert all scheduled repeat episodes for Friday night. However, those shows are set to return next week.

The same goes for Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Don’t expect anything new on Friday.

Real Time fans have a few options. They can revisit their favorite clips, monologues, and “New Rule” segments on YouTube. Or, if they have HBO Max, full episodes from Bill Maher are available.
