Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, August 30?
By Matt Moore
Fans spent another week without The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week. So what should late-night TV audiences expect to see tonight on CBS?
Stephen Colbert and company’s week off was the latest stretch in a summer that has seen fewer new episodes than fans prefer. It’s to the point where some fans are calling for guest hosts while others have questioned their loyalty to The Late Show.
Unfortunately, Monday doesn’t bring any good news. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Instead, CBS will reair the June 16 episode. Audiences get another chance to see guests Anderson Cooper and Sleater-Kinney.
There has not been any official announcement on why The Late Show is off again this week. Labor Day is still a week away, so perhaps it’s one final summer vacation for Colbert and his team.
What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Late-night TV options aren’t looking great. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert won’t be the only show airing a rerun tonight
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! will all be repeat episodes on Monday night.
Fans looking for new content do have one option. The Late Late Show with James Corden airs a new episode at 12:35 a.m. ET. The guest lineup features Camila Cabello and Rufus Du Sol.
Of course, Colbert’s fans can always check out the show’s official YouTube channel or find content on Paramount+ if they are desperate for The Late Show‘s brand of comedy.
