Seth Meyers: A Closer Look at Mitch McConnell bailing on bipartisanship

The topic isn’t new to Late Night with Seth Meyers or “A Closer Look.” However, the Republican Party constantly provides Meyers with new examples. The latest comes from Texas Rep. Louis Gohmert, who floated the idea of altering Earth’s orbit to combat climate change.

Meyers points out how this kind of thinking, whether sincere or sarcastic, makes it impossible for Democrats to take Republicans seriously. The Late Night host doesn’t expect bipartisanship with a party demonstrating a history of conspiracy theories and obstruction.
