It’s the start of a brand new week. Does that mean it will also be the start of a brand new week of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert episodes?
The Late Show threw fans for a bit of a loop last week. The week started off with three new episodes before a rerun aired on Thursday. Stephen Colbert was back to work for a rare Friday episode to close out the week.
Expect things to be back to normal this week. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Colbert should get you caught up on the biggest stories from the weekend. Unfortunately, that includes another mass shooting. Colbert typically shares his thoughts on these events so anticipate another reference in tonight’s monologue.
Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?
The Late Show starts off its week of guests in a big way. Stephen Colbert will interview legendary actor Anthony Hopkins on tonight’s show.
Hopkins earned a Best Actor nomination for his role in The Father. He also had his directorial debut with Elyse, released in Dec. 2020. His next film is The Virtuoso, scheduled for a limited theatrical release beginning April 30.
Author and playwright Florian Zeller will also be on the show. He directed Hopkins in The Father, based on Zeller’s play of the same name. The movie is also up for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay Oscars.
Then, Senator Mazie Hirono joins the show. The Democrat from Hawaii has been in the Senate since 2013. Her memoir Heart of Fire: An Immigrant Daughter’s Story will be published on April 20.
