Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, April 16?
By Matt Moore
Real Time with Bill Maher is late night television’s best way to close out your week. What should fans expect to see tonight on HBO?
Real Time is coming off another big week for the show. Bill Maher was finally able to weigh in on the Matt Gaetz scandal. The comedian also made waves with his take on the Academy Awards, lamenting the dreary, virtue-signaling movies nominated for Best Picture.
We won’t have to wait long to hear what Maher has to say about this week’s headlines. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.
The latest developments in the Gaetz scandal, President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from Afghanistan, and another mass shooting are all topics that could come up on tonight’s new show.
Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?
For his interview, Bill Maher will sit down with television personality Sharon Osbourne. It will be Osbourne’s first time on the show.
It will be Osbourne’s first interview since she left The Talk following an on-air confrontation with co-host Sheryl Underwood. The two clashed over Osbourne’s support for friend Piers Morgan, who was facing backlash for his controversial comments about Meghan Markle.
Her conversation with Maher should be very interesting. It could cover race, royalty, the media, cancel culture, and more.
On the panel, Rosa Brooks returns to Real Time with Bill Maher. She is a law and policy professor at Georgetown School of Law and a founder of the Transition Integrity Project which gamed out possible disruptions to the 2020 presidential election and transition of power.
Her most recent book is Tangled Up in Blue: Policing in the American City. Given the ongoing Derek Chauvin trial and the release of police bodycam footage from the shooting of Adam Toledo, a discussion on policing in America is timely.
Also returning to the panel tonight is Ian Bremmer. The political scientist and author is the president of the geopolitical risk firm Eurasia Group. Currently, he hosts GZERO World on PBS in which he interviews world leaders and experts. Expect him to weigh in on President Joe Biden’s foreign policy as it relates to Russia, China, and other world powers.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO. You can also watch Real Time on HBO Max.
