The Late Show with Stephen Colbert returned on Monday after a week away. Fans are hoping to make it two in a row tonight.

Stephen Colbert spent Monday’s monologue catching up on some of the stories he missed while he was away. A bulk of his attention was spent on Representative Matt Gaetz who is wrapped up in scandal stemming from a Department of Justice investigation.

Colbert probably got all of that out of his system but you never know what will be on the late night’s mind on a given night. We’ll find out tonight, though. There is a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

So while Colbert may still want to touch on stories from last week before getting into today’s headlines, the guest lineup should also indicate what fans can expect on tonight’s episode.

Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?

To start the guest portion of the show, Stephen Colbert will talk with journalist Ronan Farrow.

Farrow has been in the news lately following the release of the HBO documentary Allen v. Farrow about the allegations of sexual assault against director Woody Allen (Ronan Farrow’s biological father) by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow.

Ronan Farrow also conducted an exclusive interview with Lindsey Boylan, who alleged she was sexually assaulted by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo while working as an aide.

It’s obvious that Farrow has a lot to talk about and none of it lends itself to comedy. It will be interesting to see how Colbert navigates the interview.

Then, Brandi Carlile is set to join The Late Show. The singer-songwriter’s new memoir is titled Broken Horses. Expect her to reflect on her career and the changes she’s gone through personally and professionally.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS. Sign up for FuboTV and watch with a free seven-day trial. You can also watch with Paramount+.
