After taking some time off, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert returned this week without missing a beat. Should fans expect to cap off the week with another brand new episode?

There was some concern among fans that The Late Show‘s week off would deprive audiences of Stephen Colbert’s take on the scandal involving Senator Ted Cruz. But Colbert made up for lost time on Monday, laying into Sen. Cruz for taking off to Mexico during the weather crisis in Texas.

Colbert followed that up with monologues on the arrest of Capitol rioters and the pandemic as well as interviews with Billie Eilish and Regina King. All in all, it’s been another solid week for late night’s top show.

But there is some bad news for fans. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the show from Monday, Feb. 22. It gives viewers a second chance to catch Colbert’s interview with Bill Gates. This continues the trend of Colbert only airing four new episodes per week instead of five.

When will The Late Show with Stephen Colbert return?

The Late Show fans don’t need to worry about this starting another week off or hiatus for Stephen Colbert and his staff. We already know when the CBS late night show will be back.

Things will be back to regularly scheduled programming on Monday, March 1. Colbert will kick off a week of shows that will feature interviews with Andy Samberg, Neill deGrasse Tyson, and Paul Bettany. Clarissa Ward, Jon Batiste, and Metallica are also scheduled to provide musical performances.
