Saturday Night Live is back tonight with another brand new episode. Who will be the latest performer to add their name to the list of season 46’s hosts?

Through 12 episodes, SNL has found a nice balance of returning guests and first-timers. Among those appearing on the show for the first time, there have been some out-of-the-box choices (Adele) and some that were a long time coming (John Krasinski).

Tonight, SNL will call on another first-time host. He’s also someone that nobody could have predicted would grace the stage at Studio 8H when the season began.

Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page hosts tonight’s brand new episode of Saturday Night Live. He’ll be supported by Bad Bunny as the musical guest.

Page has a few notable credits on his resume including roles in Mortal Engines and Sylvie’s Love. But it was the breakout role as Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, in Netflix’s Bridgerton that elevated Page to a whole new level.

The Regency era drama, released in Dec. 2020, became Netflix’s most-watched original series. SNL is hoping that the series’s popularity and Page’s rapidly expanding fanbase will tune in tonight.

It remains to be seen how Page handles straight-ahead comedy. But as long as a host is game, his or her comedy background is rarely a factor. Expect Page to be all-in when he takes the stage tonight, surrounded by the experienced cast at SNL.

How to watch Saturday Night Live

Bridgerton fans will undoubtedly want to see Regé-Jean Page in this new light. It’s also a safe bet to say that a parody of the Netflix hit will be worked into tonight’s episode.

Meanwhile, SNL fans are hoping things will pick up this week. Despite an admirable performance by host Regina King, last week’s episode had only a few bright spots. Perhaps Page can get things back on track.
